Black Horse Naturals is an Australian family business, operating from Bungal, a small farming community outside of Ballarat, Victoria, where they develop, manufacture and distribute from an equine dedicated feed mill.
Founded in 2020 by Steve and Chelsea Dickson, Harmony, the first of its kind in Victoria, was our flagship product, soon followed our canine blend - Dusty’s Gold and recently, we have further added Harmony Plus and Gut Align to our range.
Steve and Chelsea have a shared passion for horses, breeding and owning racehorses, as well as farming merino sheep alongside their delightful array of dogs, cats, a cheeky parrot and their much-loved ponies. Driven by the positive impact Black Horse Naturals has made on their own horses, companion animals and stock, it has helped shape their philosophy of harnessing the power of nature. Our natural range is nutritionally formulated, and science supported with the highest quality ingredients, just as nature intended.
Steve is a highly sought Agronomist, bringing over 30 years of experience in plant and soil science, health and management. His passion for the agricultural industry is steeped in modern and innovative farming practices, resulting in regenerative and sustainable pasture and boosting crop yields for the highly successful farms that he advises.
Chelsea has worked in both the pet and equine industry for over 25 years, a former National Sales and Marketing Manager of two leading horse feed companies with a passion for nutrition and promoting animal health and performance through high quality feed products to meet the specific nutritional needs of horses.
Together they draw on their vast experience in their respected agricultural and equine fields to produce a science supported, quality and trusted range of feeding solutions.
Believing that good gut health is fundamental to the overall well-being of horses, we are committed to making it accessible to all equines. Our mission is to provide affordable and effective solutions that promote digestive health and support optimal performance for every horse, regardless of breed, age, or discipline.
